Who is responsible

What we collect, and when

Reading this site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. There are no accounts, no newsletter and no contact form. The web server keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, requested page, browser, time) for up to 30 days, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Analytics — only if you accept

If you press Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It sets these first-party cookies on swedenunpacked.com:

Google Analytics tells us which guides are read and from which country — never who you are. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage, and the reports we keep are held for 14 months. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and LEK 9 kap 28 §). Google may process this data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC is certified.

If you press Decline, nothing from Google is loaded and only su_consent is set, so we do not ask again.

Changing your mind

Press Cookie settings in the footer. It clears your choice and shows the banner again, where you can decline. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not delete what Google already holds — for that, use Google's own tools.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, or complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish supervisory authority. In practice we hold no personal data about readers beyond the access logs above, so most requests will have nothing to return.
