Who is responsible

Sakee Technologies AB, organisationsnummer 559597-0061, is the controller for any personal data processed on Sweden Unpacked. Contact: the address on the About page.

What we collect, and when

Reading this site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. There are no accounts, no newsletter and no contact form. The web server keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, requested page, browser, time) for up to 30 days, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Analytics — only if you accept

If you press Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It sets these first-party cookies on swedenunpacked.com:

Google Analytics tells us which guides are read and from which country — never who you are. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage, and the reports we keep are held for 14 months. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and LEK 9 kap 28 §). Google may process this data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC is certified.

If you press Decline, nothing from Google is loaded and only su_consent is set, so we do not ask again.

Changing your mind

Press Cookie settings in the footer. It clears your choice and shows the banner again, where you can decline. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not delete what Google already holds — for that, use Google's own tools.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, or complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish supervisory authority. In practice we hold no personal data about readers beyond the access logs above, so most requests will have nothing to return.

The Sweden Unpacked app

The app is a separate thing from this website, and its answer to "what do you hold about me" is very nearly "nothing". Six statements cover all of it.

Your answers stay on your device

Everything you enter in the app is stored on your own device and nowhere else. Values, notes, documents you attach, the whole ledger: it is written to storage on the device, it stays there, and no request the app makes to swedenunpacked.com carries any part of it.

Backups go to your cloud, not ours

If you turn backup on, the app copies that data to your own iCloud or your own Google Drive, inside your Apple or Google account. It is your storage, under your credentials, and Sakee Technologies AB has no access to it and cannot read it. Deleting everything in the app removes those copies too.

Health and criminal-record answers never leave the device

Some Swedish forms ask about health or about criminal records. That is special-category and criminal-offence data under GDPR Art. 9 and Art. 10, and it exists only on your device. It is never transmitted to our server, never included in anything we receive, and never seen by us.

What our EU server holds

One record, and only for people who bought the app: your email address, a hash of your password, whether your purchase is active, your consent record, and the timestamps around them. That record is held on a server in the EU and is not transferred outside the EU/EEA. Legal basis: performance of the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). No ledger content, no device identifier, no push token.

Notifications are sent to a topic, not to you

When a form or a rule changes, the message goes out through Firebase Cloud Messaging and the app subscribes to a topic — "everyone following this form" — rather than registering itself with us. We hold no device token and no device identifier, so a notification is addressed to a subject and not to a person. Firebase itself keeps the registration token it needs to deliver on that topic.

Processors

Three companies process data on our instructions, and only for what they are named for: Stripe (card payment), Apple (App Store purchases and iCloud delivery), and Google (Play Store purchases and Firebase Cloud Messaging above). Each receives what it needs to take the payment or deliver the message. None of them receives anything from your ledger.
