Sweden Unpacked is an independent resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Swedish government, Migrationsverket, Skatteverket, or any other public authority.

How the guides are written

Every guide on this site is generated by an AI system and then reviewed by a named human before it is published. No guide reaches the public site without that review. The reviewer is named on each guide, alongside the date it was last checked.

This is disclosed here in line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), which covers text published to inform the public. Sakee Technologies AB holds editorial responsibility for that text, and a named person reviews it before publication.

Each guide page also carries this same statement in a machine-readable form, so that search engines and other automated readers receive it as well as you do.

This is information, not advice

The guides explain how Swedish systems work. They are general information about public processes, and nothing on this site is legal, tax, immigration, medical, or financial advice.

Your circumstances decide your outcome, and the site does not know them. Before you act on anything you read here, check it against the authority that decides your case — Migrationsverket, Skatteverket, Försäkringskassan, your kommun, your bank, or a qualified professional. Where a guide names the authority behind a rule, that authority is the one that is binding, not this site.

Accuracy and currency

Swedish rules, fees, and deadlines change. Every guide carries the date it was last checked, and the sources it was checked against are listed at the bottom of the page.

Sakee Technologies AB makes no warranty that any guide is complete, current, or free of error. A guide can be correct on the day it is checked and wrong the following week, because the rule behind it changed and nobody has been back to it yet.

If you find something wrong or out of date, please say so — corrections are the cheapest thing you can give this site.
